THE BOOKS

Formed From Red Clay
Cora Burns is a strong ambitious woman, coming of age in the segregated old south. Despite the limits placed on her by the times, Cora had visions of more and soon discovers that life goes on even when dreams are derailed. This debut novel is a moving portrait of a life lived through the 20th Century, love, the influence of family and the impact of place, as Cora discovers the cost of longevity.

Never Much For Small Talk
This new body of work is compelling, seeks to hit you at line one, and have you leave it thinking and feeling. It is a scattering of all the thoughts that ever kept the author up at night and much of what has made her weep. Oftentimes raw, this book is a mixed compilation of passionate explorations through poetry, short stories, and even doodles of emotions, experiences, relationships, loss, disappointments, met expectations, and the real-life living that must continue in the background.

BAM! Celebrating the Life of Lonnie Rucker, Jr.
This book was compiled for the family and friends of Lonnie Rucker. Often when we suffer and grieve we think we are alone, that we were first, that our hurt hurts more. We think we invented opening a bottle, spilling a bit, and drinking the rest, that we pioneered pouring out our hearts in tears. We can’t imagine God has heard “why him? Why me?’ with quite the same angst before. That is pride, arrogance, and some vanity. All who have lived have lost and grieved in every land and in every language. The few poems in this book are in English and cover several centuries, because, you know, life and death are woven through time.

Speaking No Evil
Passionate-sensual, religious, and yes, philosophical. This poet's work is a metaphysical journey through the landscape of human emotion. Speaking No Evil unfolds our collective soul like a flower waiting for its essence to be revealed.
